I liked the artwork and the preloader was unique. Good job on voicing esp on making the conversation sound awkward. Very funny.

Great job!

I liked it... I was a bit confused on the storyline but I don't care. It was that damn good.

Nice job! I liked the artwork, the music fit perfectly and the animation was pretty decent.

I'd have more to say about this but I've got the munchies now...

Overall 8!

score of 2 from what I could see

Sorry but I can only give you a 2 for this.

Here are my resons:

The load time was slow and I'm on a T1 line. Any other movies I watched loaded fine.

When I hit play it did nothing. From what I am seeing from your replies to reviews you have to watch previous episodes to watch it??? That, is 'effin lame if that is the case - you're not Steven Speilberg for dirty-lovin' sakes. Why force us to watch? Why not link your old episodes at the end instead?

Sorry bub - Better luck next time.

Admittedly when reading the name I thought it was going to suck. Thankfully that thought was far from the truth

Certainly, strange (in a good way) and the music suited it. It made me think of those old cartoons with the goofy dancing.

Eye liked it... (sorry, bad play on words. Eye couldn't resist)

KILLROY 10 part 1 KILLROY 10 part 1

Rated 2.5 / 5 stars

Generally I wasn't really impressed and since that being so, I gave it an average score of 5 for these reasons.

1. The "turning" kinda seemed like a short cut and very Paper Mario-ish.

2. The line of "what's that on your face?" a total rip-off from the Evil Dead Army of Darkness. You just swapped out the dirt for bullets. Had it had been original I would have given a higher score.

3. Another Evil Dead rip off - which you at least make a nod to being the scene making reference to the book allowing the dead to rise like the "Necronomicon"

4. The Audio quality was muffled at times and inconsistent.

1. I've seen things on Newgrounds far worse.

2. I liked some of the character designs.

Best of luck on your projects.

Uptown-SlimJim responds:

Thanks for being so thorough but I think you're exaggerating a bit.

For one, every one of my toons has the paper-thin look to it because they're supposed to. I'm TRYING to get that Paper Mario look. Plus, I'm more of a writer/director than animator so you'll have to forgive me for taking shortcuts.

2&3. The 'something on your face' gag can probably be linked to at least one hundred other sources, just as Army of Darkness took several classic jokes from other TV shows and movies. If you're going take marks off because of a vague similarity you may as well get mad that I accompanied a fly through into hell with metal music. Also, Evil Dead: Army of Darkness didn't create the Necronomicon, the idea has been around since the ninteen twenties.

Anyway, thanks for watching

I can appreciate the time you put into it but generally, I wasn't a big fan of it.

The animations in some parts really bothered me. One example being, when the dog was dragging him and the looked like he was just walking at a slow pace. There were more but I won't bombard you with that I thought was "wrong" with it.

The backgrounds were okay. I'm not sure if you were going for the clipart look or was just trying to get it done more quickly or just taking a shortcut.

Knoxfan25 responds:

Well it was kinda rushed for my schools film festival thats kind of why the animation isn't that well put into. This isn't really my best work but I think its pretty good. Thanx for the review though.

Overall I gave it a 5 because I wasn't impressed with the animations or artwork.

What really bothered me was at one point when he took the first attacker's gun the guy just fell, and when he had the gun it was backwards until he actually fired it.

The bullet was massive in the "bullet-time" sequence but yet when he shot everyone else it was as it should appear (not be seen). Maybe you could have zoomed in near his head and slowed things down(then a larger bullet may have been reasonable).

Next time I would pay attention to the details a bit more thoroughly.

That was a goot one. I think what made it funny for me was just wondering where this was going. Then the dog finally sits in his own shiiiiite.
The only suggestion that I'd have is the text over the replay button seemed a bit one the sloppy side and maybe tweaking the audio when the character was screaming. It kinda had the sort of breaking up as if you were too close to the mic when laying that part down.
Other than that. No suggestions.

Great Job.

Fora responds:

Thanks and about the mike. I don't know if you saw the un updates version of this episode, that sound quality was way worser than this one. And that text over the replay button, lol that did the voice actor who made the sound better :P
